How to Test Regular Expressions

01 Construct Regex

Write your search pattern between standard delimiters. Configure modifiers like g for comprehensive searching and i to ignore case.

02 Supply String Corpus

Paste target logs, server payloads, or code excerpts into the test canvas. Real-time syntax overlays highlight matches and non-matching chunks instantly.

03 Inspect Groups & Offsets

Examine matched sub-expressions in the capture tree. Trace positional char ranges [start:end] for reliable parsing pipeline integration.

HOW TO USE

Test a JavaScript pattern

Enter a pattern without surrounding slashes, select flags and paste test text to inspect matches and groups.

Example

Pattern \d+ finds 123 and 45 in One 123 then 45 when global matching is enabled.

Before you use the result

This uses JavaScript regular expressions. Very costly patterns on long text can slow the browser.
